Booking and scheduling
Most local moves can be booked two to three weeks out, though the last weekend of any month is the busiest stretch since so many leases and closings land there. If your date falls on one of those weekends, reach out as early as you can.
Long-distance and freight moves across the province, especially anything crossing to Vancouver Island, need a bit more lead time so the ferry crossing and route can be planned properly rather than booked at the last minute.
If another company has let you down close to your date, contact us anyway. Crews open up more often than people expect, and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit the job in.
Pricing and estimates
Local moves are estimated based on crew size and hours, worked out from a walkthrough or a short video call through the home. Long-distance and freight jobs are priced by the weight of the load and the distance travelled, with the final figure tied to a weigh-in on the loaded truck.
Everything is put in writing before your date is confirmed, so there is nothing to argue about on moving day itself.
Packing and specialty items
We offer full packing, partial packing for just the fragile rooms, or materials only if you would rather pack yourself. Tell the estimator which rooms you want covered and the quote is built around that.
Pianos, gun safes, large aquariums, and other awkward items are handled by the same crew members who specialize in that kind of work, using the straps and dollies those jobs actually need rather than general moving equipment.
On the day itself
The crew arrives in the agreed window, walks the home with you, and pads door frames and stairs before anything moves. At the new address, everything goes to the room you name and beds are reassembled before the crew leaves.
If weather turns, and it does often enough on the coast, we adjust with extra floor protection and by keeping the truck closer to the door rather than rescheduling the whole job.
